Flu Facts
Flu infects the cells lining the nose, trachea and lung. It does NOT normally get into the blood or infect cell lining in the mouth, esophagus, stomach or intestines.
Direct contact- someone gets virus on their hand and spreads it to their nose or eyes. Frequent hand washing or use of hand sanitizers stops this spread.

- Large droplets – fall to the ground within five to ten feet, but if coughed directly onto you, they can be inhaled
